Book Sale – $5 A BAGThe Friends of the Meriden Public Library held a $5 a bag Book Sale, on Thursday, April 19th, Friday, April 20th, and Saturday, April 21st in the Marion Cook Room in the Meriden Public Library. The sale was open from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM on all three days. The Friends Bookstore was also open on these days with all books at 1/2 the regular price. The sale was a terrific success, exceeding expectations!

Good quality books are once again being received from the public. Bins are located in the hallway outside the bookstore for placing donated books.

GRAND OPENING – The new Bookstore hosted its first book signing event in conjunction with our official Grand Opening on Saturday, Sept. 17, 2011 from 10 am to 2 pm. The book, titled Cities Going Green: A Handbook of Best Practices, is the latest publication by Dr. Roger Kemp.
