Interlibrary loan

Looking for an item not available in our catalog? Request it from a Connecticut public library via Interlibrary Loan (ILL).

Interlibrary loan (ILL) is a free service provided by the Meriden Public Library where we borrow materials from any CT library outside our LION consortium, on behalf of our patrons with a valid Meriden Library card in good standing. Borrowing items from other CT libraries is an integral part of delivering exceptional library service to our community.

There are two ways to request an ILL item:

  1. Library staff at the Information Desk are happy to help borrowers search for materials available via ILL. Visit staff or call (203) 630-4734 for assistance.
  2. Borrowers may also search for available titles here and fill out the ILL request form located below.

It may take several weeks for the requested item to arrive. Delivery time for ILLs varies and the actual loan terms are at the discretion of the lending library.

Borrowers will be contacted when the requested ILL item arrives at the library. ILL items must be picked up and returned to the Meriden Public Library.
