Event Details

We will give a brief overview of the WWII Battle of Iwo Jima, the building of the Iwo Jima Memorial by survivors, and how we as volunteers are honoring their legacy and the legacy of all WWII veterans. Included will be a brief explanation of how the Navajo Code Talkers contributed to the battle victory. We will also talk a little about some Iwo Jima veterans from Meriden.
