Library hours for Thanksgiving holiday.

The library will close early at 4pm on Wednesday, November 27th.  

The library will be closed Thursday, November 28th in observance of Thanksgiving Day. 

The library will reopen on Friday, November 29th at 9:30am.

Literacy Volunteers (Wednesday, April 19)

Presenter: Denise Calabrese, Meriden Chapter director, Greater New Haven Literacy Volunteers

Denise will talk about the team of local volunteers who teach English as a second language and upgrade the skills of semi-literate native speakers. She will give examples of how, by improving their English, students have increased their chances of finding jobs, acculturating and adjusting to life in America, enhancing quality of life, and in some cases paving the way to citizenship.
