Change starts with action. Better yet, an action that affects the world around you. "A Billion Acts of Green" is a global campaign that drives voluntary efforts to improve our environment. From patrons in libraries to organizers in their communities to officials in government, there are ways for anyone of any background to make a difference. Start small and go big — or start big and get bigger. Either way, keep coming back, keep taking action, and join the movement to change the world.
Join us here at the Meriden Public Library to celebrate Earth Day. A presentation and informal discussion will take place about climate change and ways to make our young voices be heard. We will talk about civic, community, and individual actions that can be taken to help make a difference. We will then make a craft with recycled materials. Snacks will be served!
