Since 1978, The Daffodil festival is Meriden’s largest and most colorful community event, held during the peak season for daffodils to bloom.

Dr. Kempton will tell stories of resistance during the Holocaust and also discuss the two recent genocides in Sudan, one ongoing and the other unresolved. 

This club is for people who love classics, or who just want to try reading more of them. There will be a group book to read every month, as well as a viewing of the movie adaptation.

James is based on Mark Twain's Huckleberry Finn, but is told from Jim's point of view.

The book deals with slavery and contains horror and humor. The slaves speak in a dialect, as well as correct English.
